Karl N. Gausepohl, 80, of Venice, FL, formerly of Fort Wright, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Venice, FL. He was a long-time employee with the Kroger Company, a successful owner/operator of KNG Packaging, and a well-know travel agent with AAA. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Dotty Lang Gausepohl; daughters: Michelle (Mark) Groeschen and Laura (David) Arlinghaus; Grandchildren: Christopher (Meg) Groeschen, Sarah (Timothy) Groeschen, Michael Groeschen, Brad Arlinghaus, Tyler (Megan) Arlinghaus and Ryan Arlinghaus and great-grandson: Jackson Arlinghaus. A visitation will be held at St. Anthony Church, 485 Grand Avenue, Taylor Mill, KY 41015, from 10:00 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to DCCH Center for Children and Families, 75 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017-0007. At AAA I had the wonderful pleasure of having Karl help me plan many of our road trips of what to see where, and many out-of-the-way places to visit. He was a delightful man to speak with, and so very knowledgeable, all the while having a smile on his face and in his voice.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Karl was such a pleasure to know and work with. He was all about pleasing others. He really had a great attitude. Will miss him.

Dot and family, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Karl at AAA travel for many years. Karl always had an uplifting smile, and never spoke ill of anyone.
A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. Now Karl is one of Gods angels watching over us.
Karl is deeply missed.

Dotty and family, we were so saddened to hear of Karl’s passing. What a terrific loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. Dotty you and Karl were the best neighbors we have ever had. We’ve missed you from day one when you moved to FL. The neighborhood has never been the same. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during the difficult days, weeks and months ahead. Karl will always be remembered fondly, he was such a caring warm hearted man. I consider myself lucky to be able to have known him over the years. He will truly be missed. Rest my friend.
Someone who brightens a room with a smile and is always having a “Great” Morning our office won’t be the same. I’m Thankful for being able to share so many moments from my wedding day, many birthday celebrations, and a few retirement parties with Karl. Our days were better when they were shared with Karl.
I will miss Karl very much. I enjoyed working with him for over 12 years. AAA Sarasota will not be the same without him.
