Lorin J. Smith, 90, of Maineville, OH, formerly of Independence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a retired technical writer, an avid bowler and a member of the Independence Senior Citizens. Lorin was preceded in death by his sons: L.J. Smith and Glenn Smith; grandson: Joshua C. Slatton and great-granddaughter: Lainey Elizabeth Wayman. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Linda L. Smith; children: Allen Halfacre, Elaine (Terry) Mahurin, and Arlena Smith; grandchildren: Birran (Anthony) Reese, Cory (Amy) Wayman and Ashley Wayman; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Lilly, Olyvia, Kingston, Madison and Gabriel; great-great-granddaughter: Aurora and his loyal sidekick: Bandit.
