Margie Lee Fey Goins, 93, of Independence, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Cross Parish. Margie was a voracious reader and avid book collector, who inspired a love of reading in generations of her family. Margie was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Goins; parents: Joseph and Marie Fey; brother: Joseph (the late: Patricia) Fey; children: Connie Graff Godby and Kenny Goins. She is survived by her daughter: Carole Goins; daughter- in- law: Theresa Goins; grandchildren: Jamison (Julie Stern) Graff, Julia (Brad Leneis) Graff, Leighann Goins, Kevin Goins, and Kasey Bell, 4 great-grandchildren and nieces: Roseanne (Norman) Dickerson and Mary (Tim) Adleta. Margie was active for 30 years in dog rescue and leaves behind 4 dogs: Buddy, Jake, Cassie, and Annie. A Committal Service will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Mother of God Cemetery Chapel, 3125 Madison Ave., Fort Wright, KY 41015 at 1:00 PM.
