Marita Ann Marqua Maher 78, of Burlington, KY passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Christ Hospital. Marita was born on December 6, 1942 to the late Victor and Marion Marqua. She was a registered nurse certified in Nephrology for Fresenius Dialysis Unit. Marita was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Burlington, KY. She was a proud member of A.N.A (American Nursing Association) and volunteered her time at Rose Garden Mission in Covington, KY and HealthPoint Family Care. Marita is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: Jerry E. Maher; children: Randy (Evelyn) Maher, Vikki Maher, Doug (Jeannie) Maher and Scott (Londa) Maher; siblings: Mike (Gloria) Marqua, Lou (Donna) Marqua, Judy (John Loechle) Huth and Vic (Cindy) Marqua; 10 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5876 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005. Jerry and family, I am so sad for your loss and I was surprised to hear of Marita's sudden passing. We have been sharing humor emails for some time and she had my ear to what was happening to our fellow classmates. Marita will be missed! Again, my thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
