Mary Kathryn "Katie" Slocum, 95, of Burlington, KY, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was a retired data transcriber with the Internal Revenue Service. Katie was a member of the Rosie Reds and was a Cub Scout Den Leader. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo and going to the casinos. Katie was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd Clayton Slocum, Jr.; parents: Herbert and Mary Ann Mobley and son: Floyd Clayton "Skip" Slocum, III. She is survived by her son: Dave (Cindy) Slocum, Sr.; sister: Sylvia Barker; brothers: Donald (Vickie) Mobley and Jerry Mobley; brother-in-law: Troy Chamlee; grandchildren: Dave (Lauren) Slocum, Jr., Heidi (Patrick) Gallagher and Alex (Alexandra) Slocum and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Sunday, November 5, from 1:00 PM until a Eulogy Service at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.
