To Mike’s family, whom I’ve known since I was a little girl in Latonia. Mike was requested by both my Father, Jack and his wife , Helen to sing the Lords Prayer at their funerals. He did as asked and did a beautiful job. May Mike be singing with the angels in Paradise. Rest In Peace. ❤️

Although I only knew him when I substituted organ playing at his church, Mike, his wife, his daughter, and his mother, were very welcoming and I very much enjoyed knowing the entire Kidd family! He always had stories to tell me. I will miss seeing him and hearing his wonderful singing voice. Love and prayers to the family!

Nick and I are so saddened by this news. Nick met Mike while working out of town and always had good things to say about him. Nick enjoyed working with him and also his companionship while out of town and away from family. Nick shared with me many stories upon his arrival home and said Mike always knew the best restaurants to eat at no matter what city they were in. Mike will be missed. So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Chris, your children and the rest of your family. Many Blessings, Nick and Katie Abernathy

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike’s family. As many people experienced, working with Mike developed into gratifying experiences resulting in positive results for the Client and pride in the employee. He was more than an employee or colleague as we celebrated our Company Annual picnic/BBQ at his beautiful home in Union, KY during one of our earlier years (probably 30+ years ago). Then, as always, Mike remained considerate, kind and quite humorous while being effective and professional at his craft. A true friend and professional. We will miss him.

The first time I met Mike was during an interview for a co-op position while in college, Chris and Mike had just returned from their 25th wedding university trip that he was so proud of. Surprising at the time, but not as I got to know him, Mike loved to talk, and he talked about Chris and his trip for the bulk of the interview. Shortly there after, Mike quickly became a mentor of mine for the next 12 years. Mike was known for his huge heart, compassion, and the love for his family. I'll keep on using everything you taught me, BBQ recipes that you shared with me over the years, NASCAR races, boating, farm stories, and raise a glass of bourbon to celebrate the life that you lived.

I am so saddened by this news. I wanted to take a moment to share a couple of happy memories with you. I will always remember Mike “helping” me fish in his pond, and by “help”, I mean, bait the hook and take the fish off the hook because I refused to touch it. I have great memories of spending time with him and your family when I was young, and I will never forget him. Also, I will never forget how amazing Mike was with my girls when we came to visit. He shared his love of the outdoors with them and was so kind, loving, and gentle. And…he made them some pretty amazing desserts. We are so blessed to have had some wonderful times with him. I am holding each of you close in my heart and keeping you covered in prayer. Sending all of my love.

I work at Hitachi-ABB, a company that worked together with RMS and CE Power. I have been talking to him and emailing him for several years. Mike and I corresponded frequently and for so long that I consider him my good friend. Of course, he is very smart and hard-working engineer. But I enjoy working with him so much because he is a good guy. A guy who will help other people no matter who that is: customer, colleague, suppliers… If I get into a binding situation when no one can help me, I usually think of Mike. Every time, he was able to help. He was able to help me not only because he is a great engineer, but he is a good Samaritan type of guy who has to offer his helping hand. I will miss him a lot. A regret for me is that I did not get to see him many times while I had a chance. I would have enjoyed his company a lot.

I spoke with Mike a couple of times in the Cincinnati office. One thing was constant during those conversations. He Loved his Family. May God Comfort & Strengthen you during this difficult time.

Mike will be greatly missed by his RMS Energy family. Unfortunately, we never met face-to-face but we spoke often on the phone. I hope he is breathing easier again. Our thoughts and prayers for comfort are with his loved ones (and his dog).

My sincere condolences to Mike's family. I was once a neighbor who lived next door and remember him as a small child. He was much younger than I, but he was so adorable to watch playing with his little sister back in the mid 60s. Prayers for all of you at this difficult time.
