Nancy Lee McCabe, 94, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Nancy was a longtime resident of Taylor Mill and a retired school teacher from St. Benedict School in Covington. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who never forgot a birthday.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Garnet Murphy; her beloved husband, Thomas E. McCabe; her son, Daniel McCabe; and her siblings, Libby (Bob) Lemlich, Marilyn (Harold) Robinson, and Earl (Linda) Murphy.
She is survived by her children, Dr. M. Eileen (David) Birch, Catherine (Jack) Tiffany, Karen Boo McCabe, Sharon McCabe, and Dolly McCabe; her grandchildren, Katie (Andy) Ro, Nick (Kate) Hurm, Sean (Katrina) Pflum, Evan Birch, Dr. Quinn Birch, and Brian (Kyle Black) Henry; her great-granddaughters, Lainie Ro and Riley Pflum; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
In her younger years, Nancy was a majorette at Dayton High School in Kentucky and an alto singer who enjoyed music. She was also a devoted fan of UK basketball and Kentucky sports.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), Kentucky 41015. Interment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, Kentucky.
