Nicholas John Zimmerman, 59, of Independence, KY passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was the former owner of Zimmerman Construction. Nick was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spending time at his second home at Lake Waynoka in Sardinia, OH, but what he loved most was spending time and building things with his brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Monica L. Vogt Zimmerman. Nick is survived by his loving wife: Dana Zimmerman; children: Nichole (Josh) Zimmerman-Jones, Tesara (Chris) Short, Nick (Ashley) Reinhart and Brandon (Twyla) Franz; siblings: Katherine Vonder Meulen, Christopher (Jayne) Zimmerman and Andrew (Cindy) Zimmerman and grandchildren: Hannah, Matthew, Dakota, Ayden, Eli, Lily, Kali, Ryah and Josiah. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. Inurnment: Mother of God Cemetery, Ft Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017. Dana and family, Mike and I cannot express how saddened we are. Nicks bigger than life smile and laugh, sense of humor, helpful hand, helpful advice, animal loving heart, always aggravating our dog Simon(even getting bit) & Simon still loving him, always ready for fun & welcoming will be horribly missed. So lucky yo still have him looking over us all. Love and miss you for ever our dear friend.

I will miss my friend. He help my company go from a small time residential builder to the company we are today. He always seem to have a smile even when construction didn’t go exactly correct. He will be missed by all who had the luck to call him a friend
