Patrick Carlin Hickey, 67, of Edgewood, KY passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY. He was an attorney and the Covington, KY City Solicitor from 1978-1980. Patrick was a member of St. Pius X Church and he enjoyed reading, hiking and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Betty Hickey and brothers: Tommy and David Hickey. Patrick is survived by his wife: Sharon Pelle Hickey; daughter: Carrie (Trevor) Fugazzi; son: Brendan (Michelle) Hickey; grandchildren: Mitchell, Kailyn, Patrick, Leah and Nolan; sisters: Diane (Bill) McElheney, Karen (Tom) O’Connor and Amie (Bill) Wagner and an extended loving family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017 on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Sorry to hear about your loss. At Ecclesiastes 9:11,12 , it states,”I have seen something further under the sun,…because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time….when it suddenly overtakes them.” At John 11:25, Jesus said …”I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” May these scriptures give you hope and comfort as they did our family.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of Pat. I was so sorry to learn the news. Pat was a great story teller. I remember when we would be hanging out with Tommy and Pat would tell us stories so scary I had to go home!

PAT was a real INTELLECT the rest of us had to STUDY but PAT just could catch on fast. I pray PAT has his name written in the “LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE” in HEAVEN GOD BLESS ALL BUTCH
