Raymond "Donny" Donald Sanders, 89, of Erlanger, KY passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He was a retired roofer with Bresser & Sons Roofing, a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and a member of 7 Hills Church in Florence, KY. Donny was a 1951 graduate of Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger, KY, an avid horseman and loved crossword puzzles and a fine cigar. He was a kind and generous person who loved animals and had a wonderful sense of humor. Donny was an amazing father and husband and his favorite place was at home, spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his hopelessly devoted wife of 52 years: Penny Sanders; children: Lisa (John) Rais, Leslie Sanders, Shannon (Jason) Messer and Ruthi Sanders; extended family: Brett Bresser, Bart Bresser, Amanda (John) Warman and children; cousins: Andy (Mary) Bastin and Ron (Esther) Webster; grandchildren: Hunter, Hayden, Joey and Kiley and great-grandchildren: Aria and Parker. Visitation will take place at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM. Interment and an honor guard service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY. Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o stjude.org.
