Richard "Richie" Dunaway, 48, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Latonia, KY. Richie was a 1993 graduate of Scott High School and the owner/operator of IT Supply Solutions in Florence, KY. Richie had an amazing zest for life. When he set his heart on something, he put in 1000%, which included the love he showed to his wife and sons every day. Anyone who knew him knew how proud he was of his family and the life he had built. Richie worked tirelessly to build his company, IT Supply Solutions, and formed a work family like no other. He was a super fan of most sports, loved collecting sports memorabilia and passed along this love to all of his boys. Richie was most well-known for his kind heart and giving spirit. He touched so many people's lives without ever a thought of receiving anything in return. That was who he was- a husband, father, son and the best friend anyone could ask for. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years: Jenny Hyams Dunaway; he is a proud and loving father of his 5 sons: Clayton Dunaway, Cory (Shelby) Dunaway, Aaron Dunaway, Ryan Dunaway, and Ben Dunaway; parents: Rick and Vicki Dunaway; grandson: Reed; mother and father-in-law: Kim and David Hyams; sister and brother-in-law: Amanda and Aalap Maru and their daughter Aria. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Memorials are suggested to: Welcome House, Inc., 1132 Greenup Street, Covington, KY 41011. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 is serving the family. So sorry for your loss Jenny. I heard from Jason on Friday about Richie’s passing and been thinking of you and all the kids. What a tragedy. Richie was a great guy. He always made me laugh when we got together. I was just thinking the other day of contacting him to see if he would want to go to a Reds game like we did in previous years. Again, so sorry for your loss.

Jenny and boys, I am so sorry to hear about Rich’s passing. Please know that you all are in my prayers. Psalms 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.“
