Richard “Dick” Henry Schuler, 86, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1954 until 1956. Dick received an Associate’s Degree in Business from Villa Madonna College and a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Palmer College. He worked as a Manager for Western & Southern Insurance Company until he retired in 1987 after 30 years of service. Dick then went on to work for Avis, part-time, from 1987 until he retired in 2007. He was a member of Holy Cross Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and sat on the Parish Council. Dick also was a member of the St. Augustine Parish Council and coached the Cub Scout Little League Team. He volunteered at Northern Kentucky Harvest. Dick was an avid jogger, enjoyed playing Golf and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Gertrude Schuler and his brother: Charles Schuler. Dick is survived by his beloved wife: Betty Schuler; daughters: Kathy (Eric) Ringo, Karen (Jim) Mardis, Lori (Kirk) McHugh and Patti (Jeff) Wehrman; sons: Rick (Mary) Schuler, Mike (Jenny) Schuler, Bill (Vicky) Schuler and Dan (Lorrie) Schuler; brother: David Schuler; sister: Joan Hellmann; grandchildren: Ryan, Olivia, Maddy, Christy, Lori, Schuyler, Sara, Kristin, Kyle, Clay, Darek, Courtney, Hilary and Zach; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery.
