Rickey L Groger, age 67, passed on to the promised land on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in his home in Owenton, KY with his big sister by his side. He was the beloved son of loving (deceased) parents, Lawrence and Lucy (Tirey) Groger. He was a member of Madison Avenue Christian Church. He was a graduate of Holmes High School in 1970, where he played varsity football and he was good at it. He and his best bud started their own business and it became quite successful. His work took him to Nashville where he lived for 20 years. Besides his own business he worked and retired from Dennis Paper Company. After retiring he returned back home to KY. He will be remembered for his big heart and his quiet, kind and strong spirit. GOD SPEED BROTHER. God's Love and Light is calling.
He is survived by his sister Diane (Groger) King, brother-in-law Terry King and nephew Terry King Jr. Whom all love him more than words can tell and will miss him more than that.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 pm (noon) at Connley Bros Funeral Home, 11 E Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015.
Interment to follow at Independence Cemetery, 5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Following interment a reception will be held at the home of Don and Pat Witt, 748 Cox Road, Independence, KY 41051.
Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Grant Co, C/O Oncology Dept at 238 Barnes Road, Williamstown, KY, 41097.

Diane and Terry, I'm glad I got to see Rick last week. As we left, he looked me in the eye and held up his hand to shake mine. That's how I want to remember him. I was joyed when you told us that he liked me and Christi, and the few times we got to eat out together. Condolences, David
