Robert “Bob” H. Hoffmeister, 68, of Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Judy Hausfeld Hoffmeister, his daughter and son-in-law Jeanna and Andy Powers and daughter Lisa Hoffmeister. Awesome grandpa to Lindsay and Grace Powers. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and George Hoffmeister and sister Mary Jo Hoffmeister. He was a great brother to Jerry (Mary) Hoffmeister, Jack (Kathy) Hoffmeister, Judi Hoffmeister, Doug (Donna) Hoffmeister and Joanie Hoffmeister. He is also a special brother-in-law to Jim Hausfeld, Sr. Mary Claire Hausfeld, Richard (Cindy) Hausfeld, Bill (Liz) Hausfeld, John (Julie) Hausfeld, Jane Hausfeld and Carol (Scott) Adams. Family was everything to him, especially all of those nieces and nephews and now their children, all of his cousins and all of those lifetime friends who felt like family. Bob served in the Air Force, worked at Cincinnati Milacron and later volunteered for those organizations he felt so close to. He was a member of St. Benedict Parish, St. Benedict Holy Name Society and the Sixth Ward Social Club. Bob lived a life full of love and laughter, even more so after his liver transplant in 2000 which gave him an additional 17 years of life. Judy, Jeanna and Lisa,
Know that you are in thought and in prayer as you begin the difficult adjustment to the loss of Bob. He was truly a unique human being and I treasure my visit with him the last time he was in Albuquerque. He loved life and brought life and laughter with him wherever he went. Now he shines in eternity.

I knew Bob for just a short working with him at the Rose Garden. He amazed me with how he could repair just about anything. He was good man and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Judy, right now I bet Bob is teaching the saints and angels how to fix vacuum sweepers.
