Ruth Jean Lakes, 92, of Villa Hills, KY, formerly of Latonia, KY, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. She retired from the former Latonia Chili Parlor in Latonia, KY. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: James M. Lakes. She is survived by her son: Kenneth M. Lakes. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Ken: Charlie and I are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed your mother's sense of humor. She started renting from us around 2000 and was supposed to stay only 6 months. She ended up staying for 20 years. She left when her health would no longer let her use the steps. God Bless her.
