Ruth Hensley Wells, 81, of Latonia, KY passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Ruth was retired having worked in several factories before opening Tia's Hair Design in Covington, KY. She was an avid poker player and enjoyed being around all children, especially her grandchildren. Ruth was a very giving and compassionate person. She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Jimmie Lee Wells; father: Ted Hensley; mother: Florence Davis; brother: Tommy Hensley and grandson: Dylan Wells. She is survived by her children: Dwight (Cindy) Wells and Christy Wells Ashcraft; siblings: Billy (Charlene) Hensley, Bobby (Barbara) Hensley and Monica McQueary; granddaughter: Kylie Ashcraft and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022 with Visitation begining at 4:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. To the family of Ruth Wells, I pray for the Good Lord’s arms to be wrapped around each of you covering you with His perfect love and peace to comfort you. Ruth was a true loyal, honest and faithful friend. She was a sincere, caring, and sometimes bold and a true grit lady. Her personality attracted people to her. She was not only my boss but she also was my friend. Rest in the arms of Jesus.

Christy, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother defined loyalty. Loyalty to family and friends, but especially her kids. I will always remember the good times playing gin rummy and watching American idol while having some uncontrollable moments of laughter. My sympathies to the family..
