Samuel Forlenza, Sr., 85, of Florence, KY passed away at his home Thursday, May 8, 2014. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. He was Warehouse Manager for Alcan Aluminium Co. in Woodbridge, NJ for over 32 years. Samuel was a member of St. Timothy Church in Union, KY and Loved spending time with his Kids and Grandkids. Samuel is survived by his Wife: Rosemarie G. Forlenza; Sons: Samuel (Lisa) Forlenza, Jr. and Jeffrey (Gail) Forlenza, Sr.; Grandchildren: Michelle, Jeffrey Jr., Dominick, Sammy, Sophia and Antonio. Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2014 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Timothy Church 10272 Hwy. 42 Union, KY 41091. A Honor Guard Service and Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Memorial Suggestions should be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are very sorry about Uncle Sam’s passing. He was one in a million. We will keep all of you in our prayers, that God may give you the strength you need dring this sad time.
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Although we only crossed paths with Sam occasionally over the years, there were many days when Kelsey would come home from working at Kroger and excitedly tell us that Grandpa Forlenza had come in and taken the time to talk to her. He always joked with her about how his “girlfiriend” was buying everything in the store. He was one of those rare individuals that could energize an entire room with his personality. He will be missed.
