Sandra "Sandy" Ellen Schanding, 75, of Villa Hills, KY passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at her residence. Sandy was retired from Traveler's Insurance and Cincinnati Bell. She was a member of St. Anthony Parish in Taylor Mill, KY and Covington Moose Lodge #1469. Sandy was the 2023 Moose of the year and enjoyed organizing and attending moose events, she was also an avid golfer. She was preceded in death by her mother: Pearl Robinson; father: James Robinson and first husband: Ronald Culyer, I. Sandy is survived by her husband; Gary Schanding; children: Ron Culyer, II, Shane Culyer, Mike Schanding and Michelle McGaha; siblings: Butch Callery; Brenda Culyer and Rick Robinson; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; dear friend: Kim Granneman and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 485 Grand Avenue, Taylor Mill, KY 41015 from 9:30AM until the eulogy at 11:20AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY. A Celebration of Life will follow Mass at the Covington Moose Lodge #1469. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Sandy's name may be made to Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539-1173. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY is serving the family. We are deeply saddened by Sandy's passing. She truly was a wonderful person. We had some really fun times together and her and I laughed alot when Don and Gary were in the front seat. We will miss her very much and loved her so much.
