Sara Mae Robinson, 87, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Covington, KY. Sara was a secretary at Pickering Hardware Store in Cincinnati, OH, before leaving to raise her children. She was past president of the Covington Policeman's Women's Auxiliary. Sara was Den Mother in Cub Scouts for her sons and school crossing guard while her children were in elementary school. She loved to cross stitch and made birthday and holiday boxes for family, friends and Benedictine Sisters at the St. Walburg Monastery. Sara was known to her grandchildren and their friends as, "G". She and her husband volunteered at the Mary Rose Mission working with hospice patients and were greeters at the 8:30 AM Sunday Mass until the time of his death. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Ella Mae Tomlin; husband: Thomas Robinson; sons: George Robinson and Jerry (living: Dawn) Robinson and siblings: Charles (living: Marie) Tomlin and Carletta (living: Cliff) Obermeyer. Sara is survived by her daughters: Terri (Rick) Cantrell, Joyce (Nick) Genther and Jean (Tom) Edwards; sister: Sandra Jean (late: John) Grimm; grandchildren: Daniel Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Ashley (Tony) Sabelhaus, Megan (Gage) Goodman, Erin (P.J.) Tharpe, Clay (Liz Schradin) Edwards and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington, KY 41015. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
