Suzanne Marie Abell Gabennesch passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Suzanne attended Villa Madonna Academy, where she made friends for life. Suzanne was a consummate cosmetologist for 40 years. Beginning her career at Shillito's Canned Ego salon she excelled quickly in building clientele. She worked in several upscale salons in Cincinnati and Northern Ky: Urbanity, Hair Performers, Swain on Main, Chappies, Chaos and the last 18 years at D-Zyns, Ludlow, KY. She leaves many valued and loyal customers-many who became dear friends. Suzanne was also a talented artist in drawing, wood block prints and in later years, batik. Suzanne was a voracious reader and loved watching true crime stories. Suzanne was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching things grow as her parents also did. Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Joseph Ernest Abell. Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Leah Jo Abell; her sisters Mary Jo Cushing, Paula Weber (Walt) and Beth Manning (John), several nieces, nephews. Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Ave., Covington, KY 41015. Visitation from 12pm noon to 2pm, Service at 2pm.
