Thomas Joseph Ankenbauer, 72, of Covington, KY passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was a retired chemist with the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash and a member of St. Benedict Church. Tom was very active with the church festival and served on various parish and school committees. He was preceded in death by his parents: Allan and Dorothy Ankenbauer. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Mary Cheryl Rechtin Ankenbauer; children: Jennifer (Tony) Wahl, Joe (Rachel) Ankenbauer, Katie (Micah) Schoettle and Sharon (Matt) Raaker; siblings: Jim (Linda) Ankenbauer, Joann (Bruce) Wess, Dave (Candee Puckett) Ankenbauer, Bill (Jan) Ankenbauer, Marilyn (Paul) Rogg, Mary Jo (Mike) Quevado and Paul (Cindy) Ankenbauer; grandchildren: Andrew and Carter Wahl, Hunter and Carter Haney, Charlie Ann Ankenbauer, Luke, Briar, Aubrey and Eli Schoettle, and Bodde and Leo Raaker and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Benedict Church, 338 E. 17th. Street, Covington, KY 41014. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY.
