Timothy Carl Godby, devoted husband and partner of Connie (nee Goins) Graff Godby, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Florence at the age of 61 following a lengthy illness. He was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Healthy High School and kept in close touch with many of his high school classmates and friends. Tim enjoyed fishing, boating, reading, genealogy, as well as many trips to his special cabin in the woods. He was extremely interested in history, especially the Civil War. Tim had been a minister for many years, as well as a very talented singer. He was a proud representative of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Tim was also quite handy with home building and remodeling projects and was talented in refinishing furniture. He retired from Duke Energy in 2000. He was a loving father of daughters Heather (Chris) Shawen, Micah Godby, and son, Aaron (Kelly Matt) Godby. He is also survived by his beloved sisters Terry (Jim) Callahan, Tammy (Marty) Manger as well as his brother Trent (Tammy) Godby. He was a proud grandfather to Autumn and Ethan Shawen. He was preceded in death by his much loved parents, Carl and Edna Godby, as well as close relatives in both the Northern Kentucky and Somerset, Kentucky areas. Visitation will be held at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, located at 11 E. Southern Avenue in Latonia, KY 41015, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014. Funeral Services will be on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY.
