Tom Swegles, 81, of Fort Wright, KY passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Tom was a member of the Ralph Fulton V.F.W Post 6432 in Elsmere and a member of Covington Turner’s. He was an avid Golfer and Baseball Fan, and a huge supporter of Local Charities. He was a Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict. Tom is preceeded in death by his parents: Joseph and Helen Swegles and a Son: Keith Swegles. He is survived by his Sons: Andrew Swegles, Shane Swegles, Robert (Vickie) Swegles and Allen Swegles; Daughters: Lynn Swegles, Lisa Swegles, Amy Swegles and Amanda Swegles; Sisters: Della Dvorak, Helen Glass, Martha Gadd and Geraldine Michaels; Grandchildren: Amy Lynn, Andrew, Jennifer, Aaron, Donnie, Alexes, Tanner, Ally, Ashley and Charlie and 3 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 3:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 5:00 PM at the Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY. sorry to hear of toms passing, he was a great guy. I played golf with tom many times and he could really smack that ball he will be missed by so many that was lucky enough to have had him for a friend.

I enjoyed playing softball with Tom at Covington Turners and other teams. Too, enjoyed talking to him about golf and the good old days at Twin Oaks golf course. He’ll be missed by many.

I am so sorry that Tom had to go through so much when he so loved life, I played football,softball,baseball,golf and fished with Tom, he had a friendly way about him and was liked by many.

Fondest memory of Tommy is watching him hit baseballs in the Ohio River at the Ludlow ball field.
