Vera Martha Goodhew, 97, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and a retired secretary with Alert Letter Service in Cincinnati, OH. Family came first in her life. She also enjoyed piano and loved dancing and traveling. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Goodhew, who passed away in 1979. She is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Ronald G.) Mueller and Carol (Late: Jim) Sanders; grandchildren: Ronald P. (Annette) Mueller, Jennifer (Vernon) Robbins, Robert Mueller, Michelle (Terry) Saffell, Gregory (Tanya) Sanders and John Mueller; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 20, 2017, 9:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery. Barb & I truly enjoyed going to Mrs. Goodhew’s house to hear her play the piano & sing show tunes plus her ability to play any request. She was always so thoughtful & kind to everyone.
