Wanda Lee Baker, age 81, of Independence, KY passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at her residence. She recently had heart surgery which led to her death. She loved gardening and enjoyed bargain shopping for her family, she also loved to read and enjoy time with her grandchildren. According to her children she was the glue that held the family together. Wanda was retired from Liberty Cherry in Latonia, KY. Wanda was preceded in death by her Husband: Donald Baker in 1991. She is survived by her Daughters: Linda (Donald) Blank of Park Hills, KY, Laura (Michael) Golden of Piner, KY and Lisa (Dale) Schawe of Independence, KY; Son: Dennis (Jana) Baker of Independence, KY; 9 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4 PM until 7 PM. Funeral Service will take place the following morning Friday, September, 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY.
