Dear Carol,
I first met you as a framed photo on Hick’s desk when we were roommates at Creighton and I thought to myself what a lucky guy Hick was to have you as his girlfriend. Now I consider myself, as well as countless others, among the lucky ones to have Dave and you in our lives. Hick was the sunshine wherever he went. He put a smile on everyone’s face before he even said a word. As you know, we kept in contact after college days, and he’s kept that same glow about him ever since. He used to tell me many many times how much he loved you. After finally meeting you it was easy to see why.
Hick was always game for some fun even though he probably didn’t agree with the activity, like the time I noticed the 1st snowfall at 3AM in the morning from our dorm room, woke him up and convinced him to go outside and shoot hoops with me at St John’s Elementary School running around on virgin snow. We had a blast!
Carol, Candy and I offer our deepest condolences to you and your Family. Our fond memories of Dave will always be present. I hope you will be able to carry on your tradition of attending the Missouri Valley Conference Hoops Tourney.
I’m sure your Grandchildren will look out for you just fine. You will always have your Creighton Family there for you as well. CU’s Family is here for you, Carol, all the time. We’re just a mouse click and touch tone away.
Prayerfully, with Deepest Sympathy and the Lord’s Love,
-Gary Joe
